the way i did mine i removed the battery and i took the head out with the intake manifold its much easier. a Haynes manual should be enough for the job!

You can try changing the bushings on the cables to stiff bearings, but thats a DSM flaw 1-2 syncros!

While your at it, if you have the car running to operational temp touch the radiator. If the radiator has cold sections that means that they are clogged.

Witch SAFC do you have? Most will read it automaticlly the sensors you plug in, including karman and rpm.

What is the voltage going to the injectors? Make sure your ignition cables are secured to your coil pack, not having them secured can cause a ticking sound.Have you tried dodge neon fuel injectors ?
