They are -10 lines. The 90 degree fittings hit the hood, I had to cut away part of the structural part of the hood to make them fit. I should have had the fittings welded sticking straight out the side or right on the bend of the valve cover for a better fit. I hope to make it to the shootout...
I've thought about it not sure if I'll go that route just yet. I'm just sticking to the e-brake at this time.
I have thought about boost by gear, but haven't bought the parts to set up.
Not really, just the carbon fiber hatch, carbon hood, and took out the spare tire. I don't have A/C...
I was slipping the clutch to much at first because I wasn't used to it. That was one of my downfalls at the Shootout. I did not have any seat time with the welded diff. Once I started getting used to it, I slipped it less and the car kept bogging. I was at 6000rpm on my 2 step. I raised it up to...
I had my front center diff welded hoping to get better 60fts. I haven't had much luck. The car behaves completely different. My 60fts have been anywhere between 1.66 to 1.88 :-/. Here is a video of my latest runs.....note the run against the red CRX was a 10.20 pass.....
Never got around to weighing the car. I have a carbon fiber hood and trunk. No AC, full interior, and no spare tire along with all ~250lbs of me. Those passes were on QTP's as well. The car had gone 10.91 @126mph at the 2013 shootout with no back seats. I think that 60' was around 1.5#ish. Here...
Motor is a 6 bolt, stock crank, manley rods, and wiseco 10.5:1 cr pistons built by Devin at Boostin. With there Stage 3 head, has kelford 272's in/ex cams. He tuned my car on his dyno, I don't have any logs and didn't play with the cam timing either. On E85 with 2150cc injectors. I'm using the...
That was me! That is on the 7cm, I've had this turbo since '09. I didn't push it over 30psi until I dropped in the built 6bolt. I was running E85 in 2011 at 30psi never dynoed it. On just a street tune from Devin at Boostin the car ran a 11.77 @ 122 mph, stock 7 bolt, full weight car with AC...
If you are using an after market oil catch can, you will need to put lines and fittings together with AN fittings.
You can get fittings and lines here: http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/diy/swivel_fittings.htm and here http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/diy/fuel_oil_line.htm
Though the weather was questionable, we managed to stick the cool windy day at Rt66 in Joliet IL for Import Face Off.
Here is a clip of MB's Truboblu and my car running together. Enjoy!

I have not weighed the car. For fuel I have Full Blown's dual fuel pump hanger with a walbro 450(primary) and 255(secondary activated by a hobbs switch). Supply line is -8an and return is -6an with a fuel lab pressure regulator.
Ok, so last year I was on FP68HTA turbo and achieved a best of 10.83 in the 1/4. With plenty of 10.9 second runs. This is on my 2g Talon. So for this year I have upgraded to FPDSM86HTA which is their 3586R with the FP30 hotside. I wanted something streetable and not very laggy is why I opted for...
It is a 4inch Intake Devin put together for me with a welded an fitting on the side. It is pretty much the same thing STM offers.
Probably close to 700hp range on a Dyno jet.
So far the car has trapped 145.6 mph with a 10.22 sec 1/4mi run.
I had a similar experience except it wasn't my clutch that went bad. I was turning a corner when I felt a pop. Then any time I accelerated my rpms would rev high and I would hardly go anywhere. I thought it was my clutch. I got the car home and the next morning I figure I'd take a look just for...
I personally had a very good experience with SPEC clutch. I ran their Stage 3 plus, since I planned on drag racing. I used it for two seasons, first season running consistent mid 12's and second season high 11's. I used a fidanza flywheel that I had been running previously with ACT clutches. I...
My car hit 501awhp and 444awtq on the 68hta at 33psi on a mustang dyno. Thanks to Devin at Boostin Performance.https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Boostin-Performance/115529075189001?fref=ts
I had a similar setup(6bolt block, 2g Head) with 16g and stock route piping kit.EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts The J-pipe along with a 90 degree elbow works just fine. The only problem I had was with my intake pipe rubbing against the J-pipe.
Did you check your wastegate? I would look to see if the wastegate arm is still attached to the flapper and functioning properly, that's if it is still internally gated.
Sorry for you loss man. I just went thru the same thing las t August. What happen with the other guy? Make sure to show up to the court date so that SOB gets punished!
I agree with JusMX141. You get what you pay for. I went the same route you are thinking. I bought a small 16g used minimal shaft play, only lasted a couple months before I had issues. From there it was just a money pit, trying to resolve the issues I was having. In the long run I could have had...
In 2002, $3,300 for a 1995 Eagle talon ESI 115,000mi
In 2006, $6,500 for a 1996 Eagle Talon TSI AWD 75,000mi leather and sunroof
In 2012, $4,000 for a 1997 Eagle Talon ESI Auto 46,000mi and $5,500 for a 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD no leather no sunroof 83,000mi
Welcome! As I have told my buddies before, it takes time and money to get what you want. I hope you have both of those. I wouldn't rush into anything. Think clearly of what it is you want to do. Do you I really want naturally aspirated? Turbo AWD? And how much do I have to spend? These are...
I had the same issue when I bought my ECM Link. I had to assign the communication port 3 on my computer to be open. After that I was able to get link to communicate with my laptop. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head where I found the setting on my laptop for the option to do as so. Or it...
+1 for the B&M short shifter. You have the option on having a 30% reduction or 50% reduction. I myself for my 2g have it set to 50% reduction haven't had any issues with it. It does sit about stock height though.
I know a few people that have swapped the vin plates over and haven't had any issues. Though I myself have not looked into it as far it being illegal or not, I myself am going to go ahead and swap out my dash. If the vin checks out with the rest of the car why would there be any other questions.
Hello everyone! My name is Tony. I'm 29 yrs old and live in Lake County. I signed onto tuners years ago, just never got around to introducing myself until now. I currently own a 96, 97, and a 95 Eagle Talon. Well, for me it all started back in 2002 when I purchased my first DSM. It was a 95 grey...
