    HX35

I can't say I've tried the 8 blade but the 7 blade is great on the street, especially with a twin scroll setup.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Oh good idea, I should run that by my tech and see what he thinks. I hadn't thought of that but I think that would help the AC and the engine temps.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Unfortunately most of my issues come from the fact that I decided to keep my AC. I don't believe there is any way for me to fit a pusher with the condenser right in front of the rad. For now I'm going to try to find a slightly slimmer SPAL fan for the driver's side and ceramic coat the manifold.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Well just thought I'd update you guys, we put one SPAL 30101504 and it made a HUGE difference. No more temp issues so far, waiting for a hotter/humid day to really give it a test. And so far we just have one on the passenger side, I'd like to try to find a way to put one on the driver's side as...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Sounds good. I'm going to order two SPALs and go from there
  6. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Yeah I'm thinking of ordering one of the SPAL fans that was recommended to me by Morrison, hopefully that helps. My tech used Mishimoto fans that flow 1150cfm, they were a lot easier to get here and we thought they'd be just as good as the SPAL.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

We threw in an aluminum radiator with two slim fans, we couldn't make the stock fan work on the passenger side. Two slim 12 inch fans but I think the main problem is that my car has AC so it could just be the condensor causing my issues. Is it okay to use a manifold blanket on this manifold...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

@MorrisonFab @black97spyder @1990TSIAWDTALON @llxkevinxll Hey guys, quick question for you. Have you guys kept an eye on your coolant temps with link? I took my car out for the first drive today and my tuner said my temps are on the high side (around 210ish). We were catching a lot of red lights...

Fitment issues with 1600cc Precision Injectors

Hey guys I'm having a friend do some work on my car but he's hit a snag with the injectors. I bought them from a DSM group on Facebook, they had been sent to Precision to be cleaned/flowed and they came back with fresh seals and pintle caps but it doesn't seem like the pintle cap is small enough...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Well I'll try the new fitting I have on the way, if that doesn't work then I might have to wait for yours while I finish up everything else left on the build.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Yeah I ended up just ordering a straight hose end, it looks much smaller than the 45 degree fitting so hopefully I can get away with just using one straight and one 45 degree. I'll update with pictures if I get it on okay. I really can't clock the center section any more otherwise I'll have...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

This oil return line is going to drive me nuts. Just got back from RTM and tried to put it on but the way the turbo is positioned there's no way I can get the fittings on. I've got it in the perfect position for the intercooler piping to clamp onto it but that makes the oil drain be angled a...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Wow sounds pretty extreme, I appreciate the advice. I never would've expected something like that from a boost leak test. I'll just try to clamp the shit out of it on both ends and keep a good distance.
  15. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Awesome info, thanks guys. I don't really mind spending the extra money for something that'll last so I'm going with the RTM kit, thankfully that should conclude the turbo/manifold install. Just have to do cams/springs and injectors/intake manifold next LOL. So much to do, so little time.For...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Think I might do the same, I don't really want to pull the oil pan and deal with welding it. Hopefully it works out fine.
  17. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Sounds good, I'll pick it all up tomorrow. @llxkevinxll did you weld on your fitting as well or are you using the bolt on fitting with the original oil pan drain port?
  18. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Right so the smallest point of that line/fitting setup is only 0.60 inches wide. Wouldn't that be a bit of a bottleneck for the drain? I thought the whole return had to be at least 0.75 inches(19mm) wide. I've got no problem drilling out the opening on the oil pan a little but no real point if...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Yeah I pick up most of my stuff from RTM, they're just like an hour away from me. I'm just going to get the whole return line and fittings from them. My only concern is they state the inside of the fitting is 0.6" which is about 15mm. Am I understanding this wrong...

Suggestions for Head stud,Camshaft and Valve Spring Replacement?

Hey guys, I'm currently just wrapping up my turbo install, it'll be done once I pick up a new return line but I'd like to do my research for the next part of my build ahead of time. I've got GSC S2's, camshaft seals, L19 head studs, Kiggly Racing Valve springs/retainers and Supertech valve stem...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the oil feed line on the turbo end while it's in the car? Pretty tight with the manifold. I'm trying to tighten the other end to the oil filter housing but its just twisting and kinking up the whole line so I want to see if maybe connecting the turbo...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Thanks for the suggestion, do you know someone that's used that fan on a 2G? Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure we have less space than the 1G guys.
  24. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Wow, looks awesome. I'm going to go with a slim fan on the driver's side. That's the main reason I'm sticking with the stock radiator. From what I can tell I should have just enough room to pull it off but hopefully the manifold doesn't melt the fan lol.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Yeah you can kind of see it between the runners. I have a picture that was sent to me before it was shipped out.Pictures don't do it justice though, everything looks even better in person.

Finally got some time to put my Morrison manifold in today!! :D:D:DThank you @MorrisonFab for the parts and @black97spyder @1990TSIAWDTALON for convincing me to get it. Can't wait to get it running.

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Well that's good to know, that thing is going to fly with a healthy motor, toss some cams in there while you're at it. Should be able to pull off some impressive times.
  29. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Yeah the reason I was curious was because my motors got 97k on it too. 170 psi across the board though but it'll be interesting to see how it holds up. Can't get E85 here either so that's a pretty big disadvantage, hopefully it lasts the season lol.
  30. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Thats a bummer but it'll be cool to see how it does with a built motor. How long were you running that setup on that motor?
  31. gsmokez

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

I wonder how it'll do on pump gas and meth. Hopefully I can make some decent power with it, no E85 in Canada.

Nice, I'm still waiting for mine to be made, just purchased a few days ago so I'm sure it'll be a little while. I can't wait to put this thing on the dyno after. My most powerful car before this was a 2G Talon with a 16g on 22psi so this should be a blast. I'm expecting it to pull kind of like...

Good to know, I've got a bunch of parts on the way, a few of them being a Morrison T3 Twin scroll manifold, a set of GSC S2's and a 12 cm twin scroll turbine housing for my HX35 :D. Can't wait for summer. Is your car currently on drag radials?

Hahah I'd love to but I got this whole setup for free with the car so I figured I'd use it.I'm cool with changing the housing and manifold, I really don't like to half ass things, is there any place I can easily find a twin scroll housing and manifold? I'm going to do some reading on it right...

HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

I was really hoping to hear from you, thanks for chiming in. Do you think it would be worthwhile to get the .70 BEP Turbine housing instead and replace the manifold? Or I believe I saw a housing on ebay that was .82. One of the reasons I wanted to get an idea of how other people are doing with...

Lolll I appreciate the response man, I know its specific I'm not going to pretend it's not but I didnt really mind seeing a built engine vs stock or even different variations of fuel setup/type because those are upgrades I'll be looking into in the future as well. HX-35 BEP .55 Housing Results on 2G AWD(1/4 and Dyno)

Thank you for a useful reply. I understand I'm being pretty specific but it's only because I couldn't find too many time slips of an Hx35 on this setup and the weight/compression differences between the 1g and 2g. I got the turbo, O2 housing, wastegate and the feed/return lines with the car, it...

Hey guys I've got an Evo III 16g in the car right now but I also have an HX35 7 blade with the BEP bolt on housing. I'm debating whether I should even install it or not. Spyder How to repair Eclipse Spyder rear window rollers

No, I was actually asking about how to separate the glass from the bracket that it is mounted on, the same bracket that all the rollers mount on. I got it solved though but I went a slightly different way. I didn't separate the glass, instead I cut the bolt of the roller, used a small wrench to...

Spyder How to repair Eclipse Spyder rear window rollers

Yeah its a major pain, first ever window repair I've had to do but I cant believe how difficult they made it. I'm not surprised at all about the threads from a few years ago, complaining that the dealer wouldn't replace the rollers and they'd just force you to buy the entire window assembly.

Spyder How to repair Eclipse Spyder rear window rollers

I think I'm going to have to do something similar, I tried some vice grips, all sorts of pliers, an adjustable wrench and even a hammer to try to loosen it a little, no luck on any one of them. I've got everything out of the car right now but just having an issue separating the actual glass from...
