Why would you make a pigtail then solder the wires together? I would just use your existing wiring after removing the butt connector and crimp it there, way cleaner way safer.

You have to understand than when you lower your car the knucle/arm moves with your tire, they are 2solid parts bolted together so the height of you car wont affect the distance between tire and knuckle, im surprise nobody stated this already.
The offset its not the only thing that will determine you wheels being flush with the fender, also your rim witdh, so the 7" doesn't help, but if you are gonna get hubcentric good quality Spacers, i recommend 15mm spacers for the look, ill never go over 10mm on mine though.

18x9.5 +20 you can go with a 235/35 tire and pull out the look that you want, you can also go with 225 which would be more of a stretch for the 9.5, and probably the tire would look to goofy considering you want it as close to the fender as possible with no rubbing.

It will be very close, it depends on the section width of the tire like i said bigger than 10.12 doesn't work, you also need 97+ knuckles for this, anyways if they rub just get a 3mm spacers and done, you would have to roll your fenders though, alot.

To use 255 tires on a 2g you need +37 offset, that's the most you can go to not rub the the knuckle having about 4mm of clearance in the rear "based on a 255 tire with a 10.12 section width", they do poke out a little, but if you get a lower offset than +37 and higher than +30 you wont have any...
