Quick history: i am 22 and own a 1995 talon tsi and a 1997 eclipse gst. i have been doing months of research and i am looking to mash them both together.
My DSM story
6 months ago a coworker who has owned a 1995 eagle talon tsi for 20 years was having issues with her car so i took a look and she had some bad tower rot. so bad the wheel was shifting and rubbing on fenders when she turned. fast forward 3 or so months and its almost winter. she and her husband have been maintaining and modding dsm cars since the 2g came out but winter was coming and it was parked on the street and one day she told me she is sick of it and is calling the local junk yard. i couldnt bear such an amazing thing rotting away in a junk yard. i thought at least i was going to pull the motor clean it up and sell it. so i bought it for 300 only thing being wrong is the strut towers. even the timing chain was replaced 20xxx miles ago. fast forward to now i bought a surprisingly good condition gst shell from someone whos motor blew and it sat in a storage unit for a long time. end goal is to swap the motor and drivetrain to the new shell and go from there. (ps i know its easier said than done. im prepared for a lot of time headaches and money)
