So recently I believed that my tps was bad and went out and purchased a new one. Little did I know, more work and parts goes into replacing the little thing.

Let me start by saying that my car will not hold an idle and will not start sometimes. On dsmlink I'm throwing a 0014 (I believe- 91 talon awd). It's a circuit failure. When I was doing some work under the hood I may have bumped the thing on accident as i was following my harness around to scope the wiring. Would me bumping the tps throw it off to where my car wouldn't start? If so how can I recalibrate it. I've seen I can use the TPSadjust on dsmlink but also have heard of physical adjustments on the position of the sensor. What do you guys think I need to do?
Also I have logs if needed.

Thank you - Alex

Replacing the 2 bolts that hold it in place with 2 allen head screws will make you so much happier down the road. Much easier to loosen up and get to with a allen wrench! Only if you are already there tho. TPS voltage should be .63 closed and 4.95-5 volts WOT. Jason pointed out a very good thread.

I just went a read the circuits and I have 4.4 coming off of the tps 5v connection and .2 from the signal wire connection. Checking the plug I got .2 from the power wire and the signal wire would read .2 sometimes but other times read 0.00. you think it's the connector that's the issue? Or the wiring? I believe I can rule out the tps being bad because I got adaquate voltage from power wire? Thanks for your replies!
