Hello, I am new to the forum, and new to the dsm community. I own a 97 eclipse gst. I have a ton if questions. As i go through this neglected car i find myself happy and a little overwhelmed by this build, but i am taking it one bolt at a time LOL. Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you! Yes that's the plan. My car definitely needs some attention, and i probably could have got a better deal on a car, but I couldn't just let someone continue to to let this little gem go. So it's mine now and I am happy with my decision. Thanks again!

Do a timing belt/water pump job on her. It is one of the MOST important things to do so that you have a reliable motor.

sell it, cut your losses. LOL im definitely kidding. just be prepared for the most stressful and joyful thing of your life :). odd combination i know but truly one of the best worse cars ive ever owned in my life. definitely just wanna take your time, do things right the first time, dont cut corners, and dont cheap out on replacement parts. these engines are super finicky and dont like disorder. good luck with your first DSM, and just remember to leave her at home on mondays, cuz Don't Start Mondays.. :) :)

Hey thanks for the advice man. I plan on it. I'm definitely not going crazy with the build right away, doing all of the important maintenance stuff first. The car wasn't taken care of very well so I want to go through the important stuff first. Thanks again!

And in all fairness to the queen in this castle, she's been pretty cool about the whole thing LOL. Considering we have a 5 month old. Yea.... timing wasn't the best, but come on man!! It's a 2g!!! Had to have it!
