Got them few years ago for my 97 GSX, very low mileage since I was driving the car only in weekend and in the last 3 years I had my engine removed for rebuild. Tested before installing them again few weeks ago to start the new engine
Hi guys! Took me a long time to rebuild my engine and get everything back in place but I can say I'm finally done.Right now I need some help with ECMLink, I want to know if the tune I have right now is good enough to drive the car. I want to drive the car, if is possible, for few KM before...
Hi guys. Got a notification from this thread, too.
Since the post i had in this thread, I got 525/285 fuel pump. Before putting the pump back in tank I wanted to see if the Mitsubishi/Toyota new type o-ring is leaking or not together with new welded AN fittings. I used the FPR and some old AN...
I wanted to say with a flashed Ecu you might not be able to check for DTC with an OBD2 reader. Here is a picture with your timing cover. To remove the lower one first you have to remove the drive belts and the crankshaft pulley(4 bolts), then use something like a jack to hold the engine in place...
Yes and it's a common thing among 2g's. To check that sensor is quite time consuming so maybe is better and faster, if you still have the Oem ECU, to use a tester checking for DTC.
The sensor i was telling you is monted in front of the crankshaft. You have to remove the lower timing belt cover to be able to see the sensor. If the crankshaft is moving to much then that sensor it will be damaged.
It can also be a damaged crankshaft sensor due to crankwalk. To check it you have to remove the timing cover and have a look to see everything is still ok. I had the same problem but in my case was timing belt related. Hope this helps!
One more question. Maybe i get an answer. I found a machine shop in Romania where i can machine my block and my head. They don't have a torque plate but maybe i can fix that. Do i have to balance all internals? I put everything on a scale and one rod is 2 grams less then other 3. Pistons with...
Thanks you all for answering. There is no problem to ship the block and head. I don't have any good option in my country. First no shop have been working on 4g63 but that is not an issue, the problem is no one have a torque plate and also if i install main APR bolts I have to hone the mains and...
Hi guys. I'm working on rebuilding my engine and I need a machine shop with some experience in 4g63 engine anywhere in Europe. If anyone knows something it will be much appreciated!
The problem is i don't know if I can get valve guides with the inner diameter i need, i think all of them are for standard stem size. Here is what i found on manley website.
Hi guys. I need some advice with my head rebuid. I got from a guy in UK a set of Manley custom intake and exhaust valves. I knew that are 0.5mm oversized and 109.7mm total length but I did not know at that time what's the valve stem diameter, i thought is stock size, so after i got them i start...
