Ended up being this stretched out spring that was preventing me from opening the door. Tore off the old panel. Did the surgery of replacing this latch assembly and the pain of connecting that door handle latch. Whoever designed this door, I hate your guts. Buttoned it all up and put the new door...
There was a tiny misfirr after it idled for a bit I was trying to fix. Not sure how new everything could make it worse. I'm pretty sure I threw out the old stuff because it ran fine directly after replacement
Replaced the injector. Cleaned up all the other injectors. All the seals. Mating surfacces. Ran Seafoam through the entire thing. I'm still losing power. Almost like gas is cutting out above 3k rpm. I'm officially stumped
I can push that lock/unlock tab on the door panel to unlock but it'll snap right back to lock. Also as I push that to unlock and push on the door from the inside while pulling the handle it does not budge. I have a new door panel, I'm thinking of just butchering the thing to get to the lock.
The drivers door to my 1G decided to stop engaging today. Not even from the inside. When I put my key in the door handle lock there was no resistance when twisted either way. My guess is the latch somehow disengaged itself. I also have to hold the passenger side in the unlock position to open it...
Car is stock. Threw a PO303 code cylinder 3 missfire. Odd because I changed all plugs wires and coil packs a few days ago. I had to take the fuel rail off. My theory is a faulty injector or signal to the injector
I have a 98 GSX that developed this on my way to work today. At first it was faint and then it was prominent and the CEL came on. 2 days ago I had this same problem and it was just that the hose to the throttle body had come off because I forgot to tighten the clamp. I tightened it and went on...
I got some black leather off a junked 99 for my 98 GSX. There's no rips and it basically just needs cleaned but assholes exist and there's writing on the passenger seat. Does anyone know how to get this off?
I recently replaced my clutch master cylinder, line, and slave cylinder and I removed the battery for some access. When time came to start the car back up I have power but no sounds of the starter engaging. When I tried jumping it I made a rookie mistake and put the leads on the live car first...
I ended up using my brake bleed kit to route the fluid back into the reservior until it was purged of air. Then I connected one end of the tube into the bottle of dot 3 ran that through the gun and put the other tube on the bleed nipple of the slave, and simply pumped the system full of fluid...
