Finally got everything back from the machine shop and started assembly today I plasti gauged the mains came up with .002 and .0015 on the rods. I know the manual says Main and rods are .0008 to .002 But my machinest says that .0015 is to tight for the rods, And that i could possibly cause lack...
Well i just got a call from my machine shop this morning informing me my parts are finished. he told me they had to deck my head and block. both. I asked how much they milled off. He said they took .012 off the head Which i wasnt to happy about. and .005 of the block so im sitting at .017 total...
I just picked up a FRH intake manifold and it came with the spacer from the head to intake. But there isnt a gasket from the plenum to intake runners.. i have no idea what i should do about this. Is there anything you guys suggest for that gasket?
While I was performing the Oiling mod on my block. My carbide Bit snagged the corner, and hopped right up onto the ridge and cut right thru the tape i had laid and cut a little groove into where the gasket lays, Happened twice.. And you can see Via pictures.. Is this going to cause a gasket...

Hey guys I had my oil pan blasted and when he did the edge for the gasket he also hit the inside of the pan leaving parts bare. Any ideas what I should do about it? Leave it bare ? Or paint it with something. let me knowI added a picture so you guys can see clearly
