I'm dropping a motor from a 95 gst into my 99 gsx and the issue I'm having it the fact that the Cas is on different sides of the head. Rewiring the 95 cas into my 99 harness won't have any negative downsides will it?
I have a new alternator on its way thanks guys.. Do I need to ground my alternator directly to say, the strut tower or is it adequately grounded through the bracket/engine? Previous owner grounded the alternator with a wire

Well I am not running a cat, there's a test pipe in place and my downpipe worked its way loose so I have a decent exhaust leak so a restriction is unlikely. I ordered a new Bosch sensor for my wideband like 3 weeks ago and still hasn't arrived. When it does I'll see if I'm running too rich
On my 99 GSX.. I was driving down the highway going a steady 80MPH at night for about 20 minutes and after stopping I popped the hood to see my stock exhaust manifold glowing cherry red underneath the heat shield.I've read that this is normal, while others argue it isnt.. I do run pretty rich...
I am doing this route because of the wideband sensor location it damaged the return line. Id rather change the oil return line setup than redo the downpipe
What im gonna do is cut the metal return line near both ends about 2in, and slip a fuel and oil resistant line over the ends with some type of sealant and metal fasteners to keep it in place good.. Any objections? And when I remove the return line, do I need new gaskets or crush washers or...
My oil return line on the GST I just bought is leaking, what hardware will I need to go the SS line route line like on my GSX? The GST is mostly stock.I want to do this without ordering parts. Thanks
I only have one fan installed and whether its on or not, it should not run hot on the highway. I have a fmic and im sure that's the source of my problems. Underhood temps might be ridiculous too. Ill wrap the downpipe tomorrow and report back
I've had issues h my car running hot all the time anywhere from 212f to 224f, hotter on the highway especially during the day. And I can't even use the a/c then the temps will shoot up. I solved the issue by removing my front bumper, and the car stayed near 185c to 190c maybe a tad higher on the...
Drove into a flooded street that I couldn't see and died in water to just below my door.. When I got pushed out, the car turned over a million times before it started, and afterwards hasn't been the same. Now the car will idle till the day is long but when you start to rev it, it'll suddenly...
I like that link, im gonna look into it... And I just remembered something, I removed my throttle body (has the coolant lines connected) and reinstalled after cleaning... I dont recall having any overheating issues befire hand... Hmm
