Also there was a new company on DSMTuners about 2 years ago that built a better version like the Megan set for close to the same price, they would even re-valve the Megan shocks if you already had them. Finally found them, FEAL SUSPENSION
Hmm, might steal that idea someday. I have a really nice aluminum cap that seals well but you still get the small bit of residue coming out. Course if my engine wasnt worn slap out I wouldnt have so much blowby and it would not be an issue in the first place. Where did you get the cap and socket?
your comparing 2g coil overs with 1g, totally different suspension design. the 1g coilovers look like the second link you posted, the 2g ones look like the first link. I hate to tell ISC but if that is what they ship for a 2G coil over set then they wont have many happy customers. They wont fit...
The Megans are pillowball mounts so there is no bind up in the steering/suspension. Mine are still holding up well and have survived many autocross and road race sessions. 1rst place in my class 4 years in a row, and driver of the year 2 years in a row for autocross. I admit the spring rates...
Definitely was the head gasket, pulled it and found it was blown in 4 places lol. between 1-2 between 3-4 between 1 and the water jacket, and 2 and the waterjacket. Also found damage from debris of somekind that had gotten into all cylinders and left dents in the head and pistons. #1 rod is also...
I changed the water to distillied and a bottle of water wetter, it helped but still over headed with same issue on track, yeah im agreeing with you as it it is most likely a seeping head gasket. I'll swap it out this winter after autocross season is over. Thanks for the reply.
If I run the car at a high rpm I get bad aeration or maybe even cavitation (small air bubbles) in the coolant, I can watch it with the cap off and funnel with some water in it on the t-stat housing. above about 4k rpm the coolant goes from clear or slightly green to murky white until I let off...
I can put my hands on a 91 AWD auto, completely stock, runs and drives great, less than 100k original miles and no rust. here in the memphis area for about $2500 maybe less by now. I wouldnt give them over $2k for the one your looking at, more likely I wouldnt give $1200 if its rusted bad in all...
doesnt matter what position the crank is in, he tested it without cams even in it. I'd say they screwed up cutting the seats and they are at the wrong angle. find the correct specs and verify, then send the head to Jackson Auto Machine and have them fix it right.
Is it a fake 16g? at the wastegate arm sticking out of the hotside, is there a visible spacer there about 3/8 inch wide? My ebay 16g (straight wastegate actuator arm) the spacer that the wastegate flapper shaft rides in came loose after a few years and was actually able to move in and out so the...
I've been there, had a 90 GS 2.0 NA and the hood flew up at about 110mph just outside of birmingham at 4AM. Blew out the sunroof completely, smashed the windshield and covered us in glass, was a rude awakening for sure!
Sorry to bring an ancient thread back to life but I havent found any good solution for a NASA race-legal fuel tank elsewhere.I tried baffles and walbro pickups in the stock tank, didnt work out so well. I ended up building my own tank with an awesome double sump system. My tank works...
