Its an Afco Racing 80133N with a custom shroud and a Spal 13in puller fan. The car is a budget friendly steel rod 2.0L with straight cut gear 2g auto, s472 now, 8.50 cage and its on Ms3Pro. Ill update my profile to make things easier. Don't mind the mess in the picture, doing some changes this...
I never did try adding holes, but Im sure it will help if you end up having any issues. I never had overheating issues with no thermostat but then again I have a really nice big dual pass radiator. My car was built for doing Rocky Mountain Raceweek so very similar to your drag week build.
Never noticed any issues with the high pressure. But the whole reason I started measuring coolant pressure was to keep an eye on how the head gasket was sealing and to set up a safety if pressure went to high to pull timing out of it before it really hurt anything. Its dead consistent now with...
I was seeing big fluctuations and inconsistency with the hose bypassed, stock thermostat and stock waterpump. Coolant pressure was 60-80psi with thermostat during a pull. Removed the thermostat and pressure is around 26psi max now during a pull.
Sorry profile is out of date. The car is on one single 44mm as of now. Its setup on a 3 port electric boost controller. I dont remember exactly what springs are in the gate but there is a lot. On waste gate alone it makes around 35psi
Hoosier Qtp's. Have a ton of street miles on them. Including interstate, rain, and mountain driving. They are great for keeping the drivetrain alive and great 60fts.
I have a lot of friends that are in it this year! I have done it the last two years but sadly my work schedule would not allow it this year. I will definitely be going next year as this event is the best race event I have ever done. I encourage anyone and everyone to try it! The people you meet...
I have been running TT's and HD wrist pins for about 4 years now. Just had it apart over the winter to check things out and bearings looked great. This is on a mid/low 9sec car that gets beat on religiously and spun to 9k. This car also sees a ton of street time as well as a ton of...
I have sprayed a dry 50 more times than not. Also when I throw an ebay 16g on when my hx40 let go I sprayed right over a 100shot to spool and for the whole run. Ive never had issues with the stock converter. But then again I love my Bradco and would never go back.
On an .55bolt on 40 60mm and also a twin scroll t4 hx40 60mm I could stall up on a stock converter. It would take a little while but worked fine. Spray always helps too.
Have you received it yet? I have yet to hear anything back from them. Really frustrating with how long I waited for this manifold and how much it cost.
