I'm confused, didn't you post a bunch pics after an event that you won where an Asian guy was holding a trophy in every one? I thought that was you?

That would be my good friend Paul.

Nice feature! Thanks for the shoutout! It would be nice to see it stay 5 speed but good luck on the 8's quest. I'm on my way there too now, just at a much slower pace!
You're welcome. After my building and racing my Talon, I don't think I could ever stick with a 5spd for heads up racing.

I should have some nice updates next weekend to post.

Random question.

How does the evo 2 drive/handle compared to the DSM?
How does the evo 2 drive/handle compared to the EVO 8/9? (I understand there is a large tech difference)

I know most of the 1-5 evo are right under 2900lbs, which makes them awesome for power to weight. Just have always wondered how they drive and feel.

very cool car by the way!

I don't have any way to compare how they handle unfortunately. The sway bars on the evo 2 have been removed so its pretty sloppy taking turns haha. It honestly drives really similar to a stock DSM.

I will say the evo 8/9 is way more refined than the evo 2. You feel more connected to the road. It's a totally difference experience all around. The shifter and transmission feel very precise and better engineered. I daily drive an EVO 8 with minor bolt ons/e85 with coilovers.

I hope that helps. And thank you!

3KGT have 4WS as well or whats that on top? Or just using the diff itself in the evo pumpkin?
That's correct. It's the rear power steering pump for the all wheel steering.

I'm using the entire rear diff in the car. I've deleted the pump using an evospec performance delete plug.

anything new scott?

Mainly just waiting on stuff to show up. In the next 2 weeks i'll begin doing the tube work in the front and then starting on the exhaust manifold.

Chopped the front end off and cleaned up the wiring. Each headlight harness will go out through the fenders.

Custom relay board I built for under the dash. I'm redoing the fusebox wiring and will be mounting it under the dash as well.

Shipped the trans off to Darren Thomas last week

BSFab T4 divided collector i'll be using for the manifold. I really like the tee style butt weld fittings for the wastegate provisions.

I'll be starting on the manifold once I have the PRL & StreetorStrip purge blocks, turbo and FMIC in my hands.

Cleaned up the bay a little bit before the engine goes back in. The firewall had black spraypaint on it.

I saw you were selling your Magnus intake. What's the plan afterwards?

i dont think its the same intake. the one for sale is a dual rail powder coated black.

Yeah, those parts I listed are from another car. The v3 I bought for this car is staying. It'll be getting powdercoated a wrinkle black along with a bunch of other parts soon.

Motor and transmission went in this weekend. I was able to use the Evo frame rail mount with stock dsm bracket.

Trans consists of liberty transfer gears, jb billet forward drum and kiggly billet clutch basket. The converter is PI billet unit.
