Anybody have any words on this yet? I've been hearing bits and pieces but no def. answer on it. Isn't it suppose to be this summer?

Version 3 won't come out anytime soon. Maybe by late fall or early spring of next year if that.

All I can say is I hope they added a way to controle timing with NLTS. I'm getting sick of getting knock durring shifts!!! You can go into the Dsmlink fourms and read the enrichment (wishlist & update) thread..

I sure hope its out by X-mas. It would be nice to have the features they are discussing over there.

Honestly, don't expect it within the next year. For over a year and a half now, they've been saying it will be within 6 months. As much as I love DSMLink, this gets real old real fast. If you don't have a definite idea of when it will come out, say so; don't keep leading people on with, "we're hoping for in the next 6 months". It makes people lose faith. I realize they're basically re-writing it from scratch, but geez, is that really necessary? V3 better be leaps and bounds above V2, or they're going to have a revolt to deal with.

A "revolt to deal with"? What, people will tear out their perfectly good V2 setups in disgust because the new version isn't "leaps and bounds" above what most users are already pretty happy with?

Have you noticed how Tom and Dave have tried very hard NOT to give a release date, becasue if they even suggest a timeframe, people take it as though they've made some firm commitment to a date and feature set?

*sigh* Ingrates everywhere.

is there any word on relative pricing, and is there a discount trade for V2?

50 dollars to upgrade just like from V1 to V2.

He's right about what it cost to upgrade from V1 to V2. I think it's a bit premature to suggest that they'll do the exact same thing with V2 to V3; without hearing it from Tom or Dave, it's just speculation.

Thomas has told me that it has too much bugs in it. They are testingit out, however, he said nothing about a release date. The knock inbetween shifts is a pain in the ass sometimes. I hope that add that NLTS.

I keep forgetting about this thread and I get so excited because I think it's just been released, damn!

I'd rather see them go to speed density and get rid of the GM MAS all together.

I agree, and it's not the maft thats inaccurate, it's how it's being used that doesn't heed the best results. Unless they've got that working perfectly now too, in which case i might actually run gm maf.

But +1 for SD set-up.

V3 will be called ECMLink and will host a new application window that includes offline adjustably, as explained it will let you make changes to your settings, save it, then allow you to sink up to the ecu instead of having to be online (connected to the ECU). It's also said to include a direct access feature opening up specific areas of the factory ecu code for manipulation. Some information has been confirmed as "working" such as:
GM MAF support
Closed loop wideband control (emission tested)
Direct USB cable for much faster data logging rates
Extended RPM ranges for fuel

It sounds to be more intricate in it's tunning abilities. We'll all just have to wait until it's finished. Word is it's quite past the halfway point. Lets keep our fingers crossed... :dsm:
