ok ive been searching, trying to figure out if the 2g smic will fit on my car..... all ive come up with searching is stuff about 1g smic soo im not sure what to do? i have a 2g smic that i can get really cheap (friend wreaked his car due to one of his "friends" pulling his e-brake while he was going 50-60mph i dont know him but i already hate him)

It will fit. On factory turbo 2g's it's mounted on the passenger side, you can't do this in yours due to your evap canister and a few other things in the way. It will bolt up on the driver side though. It's not a direct fit, you just have to find a way to make it work. Here's a pic of mine.

well, according to most 2G N/T kits, the compressor and turbine housing face the opposite direction of factory turboed DSMs. take a look at this pic:

that is basically how your turbo should be facing. therefore, a smic should be in front of the driver's side wheel-well. i suppose you could use a factory 2G intercooler, but the piping wouldn't be optimal and the intercooler would be facing backwards from its noral positioning.

i would recommend a Supra SMIC. this way, you wouldn't have to flip one of the endtanks, and it will outperform a 2G SMIC any day of the week.

EDIT: dammit josh, you beat me to it!

EDIT x2: btw don't most turbo kits for the 420A come with FMICs and IC piping?

Some do, some don't. Most people now-a-days are putting their own kit together. A 2g sidemount is just fine for lower boost levels.:thumb:

However, when you get a bit of extra money, go on to Ebay and pick up a nice FMIC, they're not too expensive, and make the car look much better. I can't wait until I have the cash.

well im only getting one of these because like i said i am getting one for like 20$ and thats a really good deal so for now this is gonna have to do.... i have a hahn stage 1 turbo kit which didnt come with an intercooler
