I found these interesting pics off of a member of dsmtalk.com. The members name on this dsmtuner is mitsumissile. I was wondering if anyone has seen these and if knows who has done it and other info on it. Could be old info for all I know. I just haven't seen pics of it or it really being discussed in detail.

I sure would hope so. I've read about people to put the evo motor in Mirage/lancers with just fwd and they loose quite a bit or either hp or traction. I would assume they would use the gsx rear end swap that they use on the spyders. After looking at those pics, the first 2 seem to have been NT. While the 3 with the blue exterior was maybe a turbo model. I don't know. I figured that if someone did the swap, thats all we would be talking about, but this is the first I've seen with one done.

does anyone know what all it takes to do the swap? and if someone has done it please get on this forum im interested:p

All it takes is $$$$$$! You can put a skyline motor in a golf cart with enough money. But yea, id like to know some details myself. To me it seems if you have enough for the parts alone then why wouldnt you just by a Bushcur stage 3 and a shep dox box tranny and be a hell of alot faster?? Unless your talking about a evo 9 motor, now thats a beast with the variable valve timing(mivec).

Great. I have a feeling these posts are going to open the "I want to swap an evo motor" can of worms.

ya i can see it in a year from now.
"man i saw that fast and forious movie, with the eclipse and an evo motor how can i do that i want to be boooostingggg and dont want to pay 3 g's for the turbo kit plus evo motors are jdm JDM ALL THE WAY B****"

GOD HELP OUR SOULS FOR THE REAL TUNERS

Yeah. Not liking that at all.

Those cars aren't even on this continent. I highly doubt anyone here has much info on them.

Let's keep the oh cool comments down and don't post unless you've got some relevant info on these swaps.

This doesn't suddenly make it "easy" to do, just difficult in a different way. If the stupidity gets out of hand I won't think twice about locking this thread.
