As requested by various people i went ahead and made the "run through" thread of how i came up with, and did this front bumper. :thumb:

I got the whole stock 2gb body kit in at work. I had the body shop paint only the front bumper.
(w12) "north star white" then i proceeded to use tape to out line my design. (seen here)

Looks great man everytime. I did this about a month ago after I saw yours. Mine was all scuffed and just sitting in my basement for the winter so I decided to do this mod and fixed it all up rm lip and all.It came out well I cant wait to get it on for the summer.

i think it needs a white rmlip on it. that or run a thin line of white across the bottom of the center opening.

man ima have to bit your Idea, but i wanna find a lip to add on to make it a lil different, but that looks great

my original plan was to put the RM lip on..but not in'till spring.

That is a lot of money to munch. They look good but there is no way I could keep that thing on my car for more than a week around here.

I love your front end though :)

Beautiful car, especially the front bumper. Also thanks for the write up, I'm in the process of the 97+ eclipse conversion and will probably try to work off inspiration by your front bumper. Thanks

Looks great, I really like the white on black look, I wonder how it would look with a red 95 GSX. :sneaky:

This is one of the few times ( if not the first ) that I regret having a black dsm.

Great Job.

ninjai can you get a picture of what you mean by the skateboard tape. Does it not rip off easily from scraping or what?

Yea Ill get some pics up of it off my work bench.

Edit heres the pic Everythings straight and all I dont know why the pic looks off and I decided to go alittle thicker on the black as it will match my car well. As for the cut out in the RmLip it was cracked there and you will just have to wait to see what I have planned for that. :sneaky: So I did the bumper and painted the RmLip a Gloss black. I also gave it a quck removal feature so i canhave the lip on and off in a matter or minutes. Its for th ose night I know I would get on bad roads or in the rain when you cant really pay attention to the bumps and sucks in the road. Also thanks to my GirlFriend for letting me use her heated garage to paint in.

matt, thats neat how you got the lines on the sides to curve with the center....gives it an agressive look.

Damn, this is so sweet...I cant believe that people liked my idea enough that they are doing it on there cars to. But making it better..and adding there own style to it.

It's neat because as far as I know..Im the originator of this idea, and maybe one day I'll get to argue with some one that I made it up! ROFL

Hopfuly this becomes apart of the "FAST with CLASS" write ups, Along side clear bumper lenses. we can call it the 2gbX bumper. :D

i paintchoped one of your pics, i think it looks 100 times better like this... (LOL)

Thats awesome! At first I thought you cut those parts out but it looks great.

I know what the grip tape was he was refering too I was just simply wondering if it is very noticable and if it works that well on the road. Like does it come off easy when you scrap on something? I would be more than happy to slap some grip tape on the bottom of my bumper if I knew it wouldnt look like ass and hang off it I scraped it.
