ok, I have a 1995 GSX and the problem is that I have absolutly no power when I accelerate (or try to). It started with an occasional pop and chug comming from my exaust which i really didn't pay any mind to because it only hapened occasionally. now every time I drive the car it's getting increasingly difficult to get any power out of it and when I try and push the engine, the RPMs will go up and the exaust will pop and backfire, but little to no power or speed will come out of it. I thought that this could possibly be an issue with the EGR valve so I cleaned it... still no change.

Any Ideas?

Also, I'm getting a P1400 code when running a check engine test... any help would be great.

yeah, the RPMs will go up, but verry little speed will come from it unless I totally floor the gas. Even then, sometimes, I get very little power too. All while I'm doing this the popping and snapping comming from (what I believe could be) the exaust\cat is happening. It could be the O2 sensor.... I checked the vaccum lines after putting the EGR valve back in and I believe theyre in the right place. it's pretty tough to fiddle with it since it's way up at the top of the compartment.

i would check for boost leaks, plugs and wires, coils, maf, air related sensors, fuel filter,FPR. I don't think its your leaky manifold that would do all that. P1400 Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor circuit

Just from the sound of it I would say Fuel filter, spark plugs, or boost leak. Are you still recirculating your BOV?

My Stock BOV was messing up and that is what did that same thing on my car. Get an aftermarket bov , made a world of difference on my 2g
