Langley,
hey, all of my interior panels vibrate noticeably when I have my stereo on and it takes away from the sound. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and how can I fix it? I was thinking of removing them and adding some foam pads or something so that they don't make a noise. Any other ideas?

Dynamat, or you can remove panels, line edge with foam, reinstall, make sure they are good and tight, add screws where necessary

^Very expensive sound enhancing material. Theres cheaper choices out there that are basically the same thing. Go to Google and put in 'Sound deadening/enhancing'

It basically is material that keeps all the plates from moving around when the bass hits. Thus, keeping the vibrations to a minimum. People have put them just in the hatch or under door panels and anywhere else you can. Its just how bad you want the noises to be gone. Youll never get a perfectly "quiet" car. (Well maybe, but itd be alot of $)

Im by no means an expert on the subject, but I just wanted to give you a starting point.

Hush mat isa cheap alternative.

and RAAMat is a better one.

You can also put some Volara foam on the edgees of your panels, where they meet, which should help w/ vibrations a bit.

Volara Foam

Carpet padding works too, but it's a bit more ghetto, and the volara foam will do a better job, imho, and is easier to work wit (self-adhesive) and easier to hide, as well.

feel free to pm me if you have q's, issues

would the Dynamat kind of stuff actually stop the panels from shaking or does it just deaden outside noises? because it sounds like the panels in my car are just vibrating against the metal and against each other kind of thing.

It will do both.

It helps absorb vibrations, as well as deaden noise leaks from your car, as well as lessen outside noise.

LOL, yep I have the same problem. I have 96 and the two rear panels (where the rear speakers are located by the back seat) rattle. Somedays worst than others. Drives me crazy. Thats really all though. I dont think the back hatch area rattles, probably on the outside.
