I'm looking for some 17 or 18 wheels that aren't too heavy.

I've got the MR7s right now and they are wayyyy to heavy. Preferably black w/ machined lip or anything that you think would look good on a red 2g.

Velox Forged Rims...not too exspensive, but qualtiy and light as well :thumb:

axis mag-lites in 17 have always been a favorite of mine, comes in gunmetal bronze and silver... so sic almost got those instead of my CP-35s but decided to throw the extra bills down after my tax return :p . any of these we're mentioning would make aya happy hehe

These guys make pretty good performance wheels. They probably won't generally be as expensive as the SSR wheels, but they're light and very strong.

If you're not worried about weight, but want some good looking wheels, check out www.hrewheels.com :D

btw - I have a set of 18x8" HRE 545s for sale :thumb: ;)

Nakayama TS6 is a possibility

these aren't super deep lips anbout the same as those Spades
but they are reported as being 17.6 lbs. for a 17x7. price I saw was $175
They are also hyper black

for comparison your MR7 Motegis are reported as weighing 24.5 for a 17x7
which is almost as much as a GSX rim 17x6.5 at 25.0 lbs. (very very heavy!)
so just about anything is an improvement. I have the feeling talon 17" rims weigh about two more.

That in my opinion is a good balance between Lightness / Relatively inexpensive/ good looking. They should have enough rim material for city/rural driving as opposed to track only.

I was interested in ADRs but all the weights I saw were way way too high for me except the ADR's RS Limited Mase. I assume RS Limited is a spinoff of ADR and those MASE's just look like butt to Me.

rs limited concept pro s are 18 lbs for a 17x7 but they are real plain. On the other hand they are only about 150 bucks, and they come in Gunmetal with polished lip

and axis mag lites are 4 lug only... not much good on a DSM.

Another slightly more expensive alternative is Centerline RPMs, however thay are low weight 13.5 w/o cap w/ billet cap 14.6 for a 17x7 and are available in balck also.
they are more expensive though.
Right now centerline is having a special on the silver RPMs at only $224
and on the black pearl excels which are only about 16 lbs are only $188

First pic is the nakayama ts6,
second is the rs limited concept pro
third is the centerline excel
you are probably already familiar with the RPMs

Told you I'd find you some rim options!

Me Id go with the Centerlines as they are uncommon, but the Nakas are the most attractive to me.

Work are like $500 and up per rim unless you go with the Emotion series... which is around $300.

HRE's?? man... those things worth more than the car! (1G)

actually they are ADR stage II's

Hmm... I guess the Work wheels are a little more expensive than I thought ;)

The HRE's are for my 'Lude, not the 1G, although I do think the DSM is better looking and more important :thumb:
